Davis v. Center for Community & Family Services
Plaintiff, a minor age 4, suffered a head injury when she fell out of the window of a teaching exhibit at the California Science Center during a school field trip. We represented CCFS which is a member of the Federal Head Start Program. CCFS is a state level partner with a network of both public and private non-profit community service providers that help low income families. Head Start offers educational, nutritional, health and social services to children age 3-5. CCFS serves low income families in the Pasadena area educating over 1200 children daily. The demand at mediation was 45k. We settled for 8k and the court approved the minor’s compromise.
