KATZ v. DePHILLIPS
Personal Injury case. Because of their “security” arrangements being affected by an electrical short in a driving rainstorm, I had to wait at the door of the courthouse until I was dripping wet. I felt worse than just soggy when the jury found for the plaintiff, even though the testifying police officer told them that she had said at the scene that she had run her bike into the side of my client’s car. I still don’t know how one can be negligent just because one cannot drive sideways.
